HOUSE DIAMANE
House Diamane is a familial house for Black gay men in the city of Toronto. Founded in 2021, our house exists to create social programming for ourselves and for our friends who are gay men of all backgrounds. We breathe life, love and excitement into the social and cultural lives of Black gay men through curated events, gatherings and experiences.Our three principles are Kindness, Togetherness and Fun.
Activities
RAP SESSION - FOR THE MAN DEM
At present, we coordinate precisely one regular social activity which we call RAP SESSION. It is for THE MAN DEM (Black Gay men). It is an informal hang - part Red Table Talk and part BYOB social - that aims to make us think, laugh and connect with others like us all at the same time. It's very Black. And very gay.
RAP SESSION - OPEN HOUSE
Every so often, we open the House up and invite our friends from all backgrounds who are also gay men in the periodic - RAP SESSION - OPEN HOUSE. 'Cause lawd knows. Every gay needs to vent.
FRESHIE
For all the freshies. And the newbies. And the boys who’ve got a good feeling about this Diamane thing and are curious. Freshie is every man's first link up with House Diamane. We love a west side bar hangout. Chill with other newcomers, hang out with Cirroc and meet some other Black gay men who just wanna feel free on a Friday night.
SUMMER EVENTS
On an extemporaneous basis, social gatherings (usually at a bar or on the beach) are announced during the summer months. LINK UP to get connected with House Diamane on socials & stay informed.

CIRROC DIAMANE
Hey! Nice to meet cha. Would love to get to know you :) I’ve lived in Toronto for years now and I’m a really gregarious sort. I have and have loved friends from all walks of life. I’ve found an especially beautiful camaraderie in the company of other Black gay men. A few years ago, I realized that, despite having a busy life, being around the energy of the man dem was not a luxury. It was something I missed and wanted to cultivate more in my life.For me, the only way to meet new people is to meet new people. My plan then was just to organize some regular hangouts - to meet new friends (and friends of friends) at one of the nicer bars downtown once the weather got nice ☀️👌🏾🍺. It went so well. The collective vibe we created was exactly what I needed. And I needed more of it.Repeatedly organizing social events can require a lot of heavy lifting though if one starts from scratch every time. And it wasn't easy to create a path for including new men who wanted to take part. Formalizing regular social activities for Black gay men with a name was the key to making communication simple. And thus House Diamane was born.There are so many smart, charismatic, beautiful (that's you!) Black gay men from the Continent, the Caribbean and Canada, all in this unique and special city. Finding and vibing with one another need not be hard. This is for the man dem.
About:
People say you shouldn’t take yourself or life too seriously. And I guess that makes sense. But I’m pretty passionate about a number of things (art, music, kindness, family..). What I feel, I feel strongly. And if I’m in it, I’m in 100%. That’s a good thing I think! Passion is what paints colour between the lines.I tend to joke a lot but never in a mean-spirited way. I’m usually found laughing at some inside joke (which I’m always willing to share). A sense of humour is important to me. If the ability to cook is at all genetic, I think I picked up a lil’ bit. I’ve been told I cook a mean curried chicken. I won’t deny it ;) Good food is everything. Scotch bonnet is life.Chill house parties over pubs, Aretha Franklin over Ariana Grande and beer over Bailey’s. Depending on my mood though, I’ll have a bit of both, ha. There’s a lot more to me of course, but there’s a lil’ bit to get you started. 🙂Love to All. Hope to see you in the House.-Roc
